About Us

          Who are we?
We are a congregation of Christian believers who are passionate about our relationship with Jesus Christ, and about our responsibility to live out that life in service and discipleship to Him by serving others around us.

We believe that God's Word, the Bible, gives us the blueprint for meaningful life as individuals, families and communities. We also believe in the great importance of expressing our faith together in community with each other as well as with other Christian believers.  Most importantly, we believe that God's love is to be shared unreservedly with those who do not yet believe, and in ways that demonstrate His grace, mercy and compassion.

We are a congregation of ordinary people who have experienced the ups and downs of life; we are "broken" people in whom God has shown how He can bring about healing, restoration and joy.  We believe that everyone is "broken" and is in need of that same healing; the details are different, but the thing that makes us all the same is our failure to live up to God's standards.  On our own, we're broken and we cannot repair ourselves.  We believe that's why Jesus went to the cross in our place.  We're still "under construction" in many ways, but we know what it's like to come under "new management"... God's management, through the experience of new life in Him.  That's  why we're here... to share that new life with people around us so that they, too, can come under "new management'.

We're part of the Canadian National Baptist Convention and we're blessed to serve alongside other believer's who share our vision and mission.  You can learn more about CNBC at http://www.cnbc.com.

What do we do?
We share life together as believers, and we seek to share our faith with others by serving.  We're out to give ourselves away for the Kingdom of God. We look for ways to express our faith by doing what Jesus would do if He were here.  We'll feed hungry folks and give them warm clothes.  We'll listen.  We'll care.  We'll lend a helping hand, free and with no strings attached.  We'll do our best to show that we're "real". We'll be a friend and, when the time is right, we can share how to find the greatest Friend of all.
